What drives the NAVEE Storm X electric dirt bike
The motor is a 10kW LPMSM unit run by an FOC sine wave controller. Field-oriented control with a sine wave output is the smooth way to drive a permanent-magnet motor: it keeps the torque even through the rotation rather than delivering it in pulses, which on loose ground is what keeps the rear wheel hooked up.
The pack is 72V 35Ah, rated at 75 miles at 16 mph, and it charges in four hours — quick for a battery this size.

Nineteen inches at both ends
70/100-19 front and rear. Matched nineteen-inch wheels are a full-size dirt configuration — a tall wheel rolls over an obstacle rather than into it, and running the same size at both ends keeps the handling predictable when the ground changes underneath you.
200 mm of front travel and 85 mm at the rear. Two hundred millimetres is proper motocross-grade movement, and it is what lets the front wheel deal with a rut at speed.
203 mm hydraulic disc brakes at both ends. Large rotors shed heat, which is what keeps the feel consistent down a long descent.

Is the Storm X waterproof?

Dust-tight, and rated against water jets from any direction. It is the right specification for a machine that gets washed down after a session.

Storm X or Storm X Pro?
The Storm X Pro steps up to a 17kW motor, 500 N·m, 59.4 mph and high and low-speed compression damping, with a bigger 220 mm front rotor and a 40Ah pack. Both quote 75 miles. The Storm X is the one if 53 mph and 390 N·m is already more than enough.
Storm X or Storm G?
The Storm G is a much smaller machine — 3500W peak, 190 N·m, 34 mph, 31 miles, 14-inch front wheel — and it is the one we would put a newer rider on first.
What warranty comes with it?
A year of cover through us as standard, and we handle any claim with NAVEE for you. NAVEE is a brand we carry rather than one we design, so the three-year cover on Wilson’s-designed rides does not apply here.
