The two-lives machine

The Kaabo Mantis King GT refuses to pick a lane

Half the buyers of this machine want a serious commuter; the other half want a weekend trail tool. The Mantis King GT's answer is to be both: hyperscooter DNA from the King line, in a 73 lb package with suspension you can tune between the two jobs in minutes.

Drive

Dual 1100W motors with a six-second habit

Two 1100W hubs peak at 4300W together, taking the Mantis King GT from a standstill to 31 mph in six seconds and onward to 43 mph where the road allows. The 30-degree climbing rating covers every bridge approach and parking ramp a commute can offer, with traction split across both wheels for the loose stuff.

Oil-spring shocks you tune to the day

Both wheels ride on oil-spring shock absorbers with adjustable spring and damping. Soften them for a broken-pavement commute; firm them for pace or a loaded weekend on trail. Under them, 10-inch pneumatic all-terrain tires absorb what the shocks hand down, and street or off-road rubber can be fitted when your riding settles into one camp.

Living with it

73 lbs, and a fold that locks

This is the King-line machine you can actually carry up a short flight: 73 lbs, half the weight of the flagships, with a quick fold that latches shut for a car trunk or an office corner. It holds riders up to 265 lbs and takes about ten minutes of setup out of the box.

Questions

Kaabo Mantis King GT FAQ

How fast is the Kaabo Mantis King GT?

Up to 43 mph from its dual 1100W motors, reaching 31 mph in about six seconds. Street limits sit below that everywhere, so ride to your local rules.

What is the real range of the Mantis King GT?

Kaabo states both figures: around 37 miles in real-world riding and up to 56 under optimal conditions. Plan your commuting week on the real-world number.

Is the Mantis King GT good for commuting or off-road?

Both, which is its whole argument. The adjustable oil-spring suspension tunes between road and trail, the all-terrain tires split the difference, and street or off-road rubber can be fitted if your riding settles into one camp.

How long does it take to charge?

About six hours using both included 2A chargers through its dual ports, or as little as 2.5 hours with fast chargers, the quickest turnaround of any Kaabo we carry. Charge only when the machine is dry.

Is the battery certified?

Yes, the 60V 24Ah pack is UL-certified and built on 21700 cells. Never charge a battery that looks swollen or damaged; bring it straight in to us instead.

What brakes does the Mantis King GT have?

ZOOM hydraulic calipers on 140mm discs at both wheels, backed by EABS electronic braking, sized to its 43 mph ceiling.

How heavy is it?

73 lbs, roughly half the weight of the King-class flagships. It folds quickly, locks with a safety latch, and is the one machine in this performance class that manages a short stair carry.

What suspension does it have?

Oil-spring shock absorbers at both wheels with adjustable spring and damping, so the ride tunes from plush to firm with hand adjustments.

Can it climb hills?

It is rated for 30-degree inclines, which covers bridge approaches, ramps and any residential hill, with dual motor traction for loose surfaces.

Can I ride it in the rain?

Its IPX5 rating covers rain and road splash, and the TFT display is waterproof. Dry the machine before charging.

Mantis King GT or Warrior 11 Max — which one?

The Warrior 11 Max brings more power, more travel and a 330 lb rating in a 124 lb frame. The Mantis King GT answers with a $600 lower price, 51 fewer pounds and the fastest charging on our Kaabo shelf. If portability and price matter, the Mantis is the pick; if maximum capability does, the Warrior. Both are on our floor.

What is the difference between Black and Gold?

Finish only; both are $1,999 with identical hardware underneath.

What lighting does it have?

An LED headlight, a breathing LED deck light, and red brake with amber turn lamps at the rear, so the machine reads clearly from every angle after dark.

Is the Mantis King GT a good first fast electric scooter?

It is the most approachable machine in Kaabo's performance line: real speed with a manageable weight and forgiving suspension. Newer riders should still build up through the modes with full protective gear, and a test ride at one of our shops is the honest way to find out.

Where can I test ride or service a Kaabo electric scooter near me?

At your nearest Wilson's shop, across New York and California. Test rides are free, and our technicians service any brand with express service at every location. Find your nearest shop.
