The $499 workhorse

Nanrobot T1: small price, full-size backbone

Most machines under $500 are built light in every sense. The T1 isn’t: a 330 lb max load, 10” off-road tires, dual disc brakes with EBS and a complete lighting system with turn signals — the essentials, done properly.

Lighting system

Signals included — rare at this price

The T1 runs the full lighting suite usually reserved for pricier machines: headlight, side lights, taillight with brake light, and proper turn signals so traffic knows your next move without hand gestures.

10” off-road tires

Tread that treats sidewalks as a suggestion

Aggressive-pattern 10” pneumatic tires move between asphalt, gravel paths and packed dirt without complaint — and their air cushion is the first line of defense against rough pavement.

Suspension

Springs at both ends

Front and rear spring suspension takes the edge off potholes and uneven sidewalks — paired with the pneumatic tires, the ride stays composed where solid-tire commuters rattle.

Dual disc brake + EBS

Two rotors and an electronic backstop

Disc brakes front and rear give precise, powerful stops, and the electronic braking system adds its own layer the instant you ease off. Predictable braking is what makes a first fast ride a safe one.

Adjustable handlebar

Three heights, one household

The telescopic stem locks at three heights, fitting riders from about 5’2” to 6’2” comfortably — and reducing the wrist and shoulder fatigue fixed-height stems cause on longer rides.

Folding and size

The bars fold too

Beyond the folding stem, the T1’s handle grips collapse inward — narrowing the whole machine for tight trunks, under-desk parking and crowded closets. At 51.37 lbs, it’s an easy lift.

  • Stem folds flat, grips fold inward
  • 51.37 lbs net weight
  • Seat build available ($619) — currently sold out

Questions riders ask

Nanrobot T1 FAQ

How fast and how far does the T1 go?
25 mph on flat pavement and a 25-mile range from the 48V 10.4Ah battery. Terrain and rider weight move both numbers.
Is it really rated for 330 lbs?
Yes — the high-strength frame carries a 330 lb max load, the same rating as machines three times the price. It’s a favorite for bigger riders and heavy backpacks.
Can it climb hills?
The 800W motor is tuned for torque and handles moderate grades around its 12° rating without bogging down. For genuinely steep daily hills, step up to the G-series or a dual-motor model.
Do the handlebars really fold?
Yes — beyond the folding stem, the grips collapse inward, narrowing the whole machine for tight trunks and closets. It’s one of the most storage-friendly designs we carry.
How long does it take to charge?
4–6 hours — one of the quickest charge times in our lineup. The battery carries multiple protection layers against overcharge and short circuits.
What about brakes?
Dual disc brakes plus an electronic braking system — responsive, precise stops front and rear.
Does it have turn signals?
Yes — plus a headlight, side lights and a combined taillight/brake light. It’s unusually well-lit for its price.
Is there a seat version?
There is — $619 with a seat — but it’s currently sold out at the source. Ask us and we’ll let you know when it’s available again.
Is it water resistant?
IP54 — light rain and damp roads are fine, standing water is not. And never charge a wet or swollen battery — bring it straight in to us.
Can I test ride one?
Absolutely: find your nearest Wilson’s shop and take one out.
Who services it?
Our technicians, in the shop — tires, brakes, diagnostics and everything else, any brand, any issue.
