Two 3000W motors, a 60V 38Ah battery rated for 75 miles, hydraulic brakes and suspension at both ends, and a box that includes the seat, a bag, a lock, mirrors and a pump. At 100 lbs it is the lighter of the two Teewing 55 mph machines we carry.

Two motors, and a switch for when you need both
A 3000W brushless motor in each wheel. Ridden on one, the X5 is an efficient commuter; press the dual-motor switch and both wheels drive, which is where the 45 degree climbing figure and the acceleration come from. Teewing’s own advice is to switch to dual for steep hills and for anything above 40 mph, where two driven wheels keep the machine planted.

Two switches on the handlebar do most of the work: Eco or Turbo, and single or dual motor. The display adds three speed levels on top. Between them the X5 covers everything from a quiet ride along a shared path to a full-power climb, and the rider chooses which machine it is that day.

Seventy-five miles on a charge
A 60V 38Ah pack, 2280 watt-hours, sits inside the deck. Teewing rate it at up to 75 miles, which for most riders means charging once a week rather than every night. The realistic figure depends on rider weight, terrain and how often the Turbo switch is pressed; ridden hard on both motors it will be well short of that, and it will still be a long way.
A full charge takes seven to eight hours on one charger, or four to six with two chargers connected.

The X5 reaches 55 mph in dual-motor mode, and Teewing ship it restricted to public-road speeds. The full output is a rider-set mode intended for private property and off-road use, and street-legal status at these speeds varies by state. We set the modes with you at handover and can talk through what applies where you ride.

How fast is the Teewing X5?
Up to 55 mph in dual-motor mode. Teewing ship it restricted to public-road speeds; the full output is a rider-set mode for private property and off-road. We set the modes with you at handover.
How far does it go on a charge?
Up to 75 miles from the 60V 38Ah battery in Eco on one motor. Turbo, dual motor, hills, rider weight and cold weather all bring that down.
Is the battery removable?
No, the X5 pack is built into the deck. If you want a removable battery, the Z4 Pro has one.
How long does it take to charge?
Seven to eight hours on the supplied charger, or four to six hours with two chargers connected.
What do the switches do?
One toggles Eco and Turbo, the other single and dual motor. The display adds three speed levels. Teewing suggest dual motor for steep hills and for anything over 40 mph.
Is it street legal?
E-scooter rules vary by state and city, and 55 mph is above public-road limits everywhere, which is why Teewing ship it restricted. Ride in the mode that matches your local rules and ask us if you are unsure.
Does it come with a seat?
Yes. A saddle is in the box along with a bag, a code lock, a phone holder, rear-view mirrors, an air pump and tools. We fit the seat and mirrors before you collect it.
How steep can it climb?
Teewing rate it for a 45 degree slope with both motors engaged.
What brakes does it have?
Widened 160mm hydraulic disc brakes front and rear, with electronic braking on top.
What suspension does it have?
Dual hydraulic shock absorption at the front and a mono damping shock at the rear.
Can I ride it in the rain?
It is rated IP54, which covers light rain and splashes. Never pressure-wash it, and never charge a machine that is wet or whose battery looks swollen or damaged; bring it straight in to us.
Does it fold?
The stem and the handlebar both fold, down to 50 by 13 by 21.7 inches. At 100 lbs it is a two-person lift into a car boot.
What can it carry?
A 440 lb maximum load.
X5 or Z4 Pro?
The X5 is 6000W on 11 inch wheels, 100 lbs, 75 miles, with the seat and accessories in the box. The Z4 Pro is 8000W on 13 inch wheels, heavier, with a removable battery and three seat builds.
