The flagship

The Ausom DT2 Pro electric scooter is where the range tops out

Every number that defines the Ausom line reaches its ceiling here. Two 52V motors peak at 2912W. The 1216.8Wh battery is the largest Ausom fits to anything. The brakes step up from mechanical to hydraulic, and the 71-mile rating stands twenty-plus miles clear of every other model on this floor. It is the machine the rest of the range works up to.

Braking

Hydraulic discs, the flagship's biggest upgrade

Every other model in the range stops on mechanical discs. The DT2 Pro's calipers are hydraulic, squeezing with fluid pressure instead of a cable, which means more stopping force from a lighter pull and no cable stretch to drift out of adjustment. E-ABS backs them up, cutting motor power the instant either lever moves.

At 40 mph capability, this is the specification to care about first. Ausom quotes it plainly:

30% shorterstopping distances versus traditional brakes, per Ausom
Suspension

A coil-over swingarm at each end

The ShocFree system pairs a swingarm with a visible coil spring at both wheels, damping adjustable to the rider. It absorbs the hit a pothole delivers at speed and, just as important, holds the chassis steady against the high-speed wobble that unsettles lesser machines near their limit.

Set it firm for pace on smooth tarmac, softer for broken streets and trail. Our technicians dial it in for your weight at handover.

Battery

1216.8Wh, and two sockets to fill it

The 52V 23.4Ah pack rates at up to 71 miles under standard conditions, a figure that turns range from a daily calculation into a weekly one. The DT2 Pro also carries two charging ports side by side: plug in two chargers and the big pack fills in far less time. One charger comes in the box; a second is the first accessory serious riders add.

Never charge an electric scooter that is wet, or one whose battery looks swollen or damaged. Bring it straight in to us instead.

Drive

Two 52V motors, and you choose how many run

Dual 1100W motors peak at 2912W together, enough for 40 mph and a 36% grade, the strongest climbing rating Ausom publishes. Triple speed modes and a single/dual motor selector shape that power to the ride:

Single motor, low mode

The battery-stretcher. Flat streets, steady pace, maximum miles from the 1216.8Wh pack.

Dual motor, mid mode

The everyday setting. Both wheels driven for traction and easy hills at commuting speed.

Dual motor, top mode

Everything at once. Full 2912W peak, 40 mph capability, and the 36% grade rating made real.

10" x 3" all-terrain tubeless tires

Deep tread and reinforced sidewalls grip street, gravel and trail, and the tubeless build resists punctures at 50 PSI. The same rubber the L2 Max wears, under more power.

Fit

Sized for nearly every rider

Ausom recommends riders from 4'11" to 6'7", with the range-topping 297 lb load limit, for ages 16 and up. Unfolded it stands 53.5 inches tall and 52 inches long; folded it drops to 21.6 inches. Two minutes on the floor model at any of our shops settles the fit question for good.

Questions

Ausom DT2 Pro electric scooter FAQ

How fast is the Ausom DT2 Pro electric scooter?

Up to 40 mph, from dual 52V motors peaking at 2912W. Speed limits for e-scooters vary by city and state, and NYC's street limit sits well below the machine's maximum, so ride to your local rules.

What is the real range of the DT2 Pro?

Ausom rates it at up to 71 miles from the 52V 23.4Ah (1216.8Wh) battery under standard conditions, the longest rating in their line. Pace, hills, rider weight and temperature bring the real figure down, so plan with a margin below the rating.

What makes the DT2 Pro the flagship of the Ausom range?

It holds every top rating in the line at once: the highest speed at 40 mph, the longest range at 71 miles, the biggest battery at 1216.8Wh, the strongest climbing at 36%, the highest load at 297 lbs, and the only hydraulic braking system Ausom fits.

Are hydraulic brakes worth it on an electric scooter?

At this speed, yes. Hydraulic calipers deliver more stopping force from a lighter lever pull and hold their adjustment without cable stretch. Ausom quotes 30% shorter stopping distances versus traditional brakes, and E-ABS cuts motor power the instant you brake.

How steep a hill can the DT2 Pro climb?

It is rated for a 36% grade, the strongest in Ausom's range and steeper than practically any paved climb you will meet in NYC or the Bay Area.

What do the dual charging ports do?

They let two chargers fill the big battery at once, cutting charge time substantially. One charger comes in the box, and adding a second is the most popular first accessory on this model. Charge only when the machine is dry.

How long does the DT2 Pro take to charge?

Ausom quotes 6.5 to 13 hours depending on state of charge and whether one or two chargers are used. With a single charger, overnight covers it. Never charge an electric scooter that is wet, or one whose battery looks swollen or damaged. Bring it straight in to us instead.

Can I run the DT2 Pro on one motor?

Yes. A selector switches between single and dual motor drive, and three speed modes sit on top of that, so the same machine stretches its battery on the flat and opens up fully when the road climbs or clears.

How heavy is the DT2 Pro?

74 lbs. That carries the biggest battery in the range, two motors and the hydraulic brake hardware. It folds to 21.6 inches tall in three moves and rolls into a trunk rather than being carried far.

How much weight can the DT2 Pro carry?

Up to 297 lbs, the highest rating in Ausom's line, and the dual motors keep acceleration and climbing strong near the top of it.

Is the DT2 Pro good for off-road riding?

It is built for mixed ground: 10" x 3" deep-tread tubeless tires, coil-over swingarm suspension at both ends, dual motor traction and a forged 6061 aluminum frame. Streets during the week, gravel and trail at the weekend.

DT2 Pro or L2 Max — which should I choose?

The L2 Max is the value-packed all-rounder at 38 mph and 56 miles. The DT2 Pro steps up to 52V power, 40 mph, 71 miles, hydraulic brakes, dual charging ports and a 297 lb load rating. If the longest rides, the heaviest riders or the fastest stops matter to you, the flagship is the answer; both are on our floors to ride back to back.

Does the DT2 Pro have an AirTag mount?

Yes, a concealed mount sized for an Apple AirTag, alongside the NFC card and passcode locks. Parked in public, it stays locked and it stays on your map.

Is it OK to ride the DT2 Pro in the rain?

Its IP54 rating covers light rain and road splash. Let it dry before charging, and keep charging indoors and dry.

What rider height fits the DT2 Pro?

Ausom recommends riders from 4'11" to 6'7". The 20.7 x 7.1 inch deck and 27-inch bar give a planted stance across that whole span; the floor model at any of our shops confirms it in two minutes.

Where can I test ride or service an Ausom electric scooter near me?

At any Wilson's shop near you. Test rides are free, and our technicians service any brand with express service at every one of our locations. Find your nearest shop.
