Four parts that came from motorcycles, not from the parts bin
The MX37 is the enthusiast machine in our own range, and the case for it is not the top speed. It is that four of its components are specified the way a real off-road motorcycle specifies them, and each one changes something you feel rather than something you read.
Almost every electric two-wheeler puts the motor in the wheel hub, because it is cheaper and simpler. The MX37 puts it in the middle of the frame instead.
Two things follow. Weight sits low and centred rather than out at the rear wheel, so the machine changes direction more willingly and the back end is less reluctant over bumps. And the unsprung weight drops, which means the rear suspension has less mass to control and does its job better. 1500W rated, 3600W at maximum.
A controller decides how the motor receives power. The cheap approach switches it in blocks, which is efficient and slightly abrupt. A sine wave controller shapes it into a smooth curve instead.
What you notice is the throttle at low speed. Picking through rocks or setting off on loose ground, a blocky controller delivers power in steps and a sine wave one delivers it continuously. That is control rather than comfort, and it matters most exactly where you have least grip.
This is the best braking specification on anything we sell, and it is not close.
Four pistons press the pad evenly across its whole face instead of pinching it at one point, so the bite is progressive and predictable. 203mm ventilated discs carry the heat away, which is what stops brakes fading on a long descent. Hydraulic means no cable to stretch and far less hand pressure. On a machine that does 37 mph on dirt, this is the specification to have.
Sprung at both ends, on a steel frame, with a 14-inch front and 12-inch rear wheel.
The MX35 and MX40 do not publish a suspension specification. This one does, and on rough ground it is the difference between riding for an hour and riding for twenty minutes.

Note the symmetry in the numbers: 37 mph and 37 miles. That is a coincidence of the model name rather than a design target, but it makes the machine easy to remember.
Thirty-seven miles, and a pack rated for two thousand charges
The cycle rating is the number worth pausing on. 2000+ cycles is how many full charges the pack is rated to take before its capacity meaningfully drops. At two or three rides a week that is years of ownership rather than a couple of seasons.
18650 is a cell format rather than a brand, and it is the one used where longevity matters more than squeezing out the last few percent of density. It is a deliberate choice for a machine somebody keeps.
Charging runs through a 2.5A smart charger in about five hours. Smart here means it manages the charge curve and stops properly rather than trickling indefinitely, which is the single biggest thing that shortens a battery's life.
An LCD display carries speed, battery and mode, with an oversized LED headlight for low light. The finish is corrosion-resistant anodized, which matters on something ridden through wet ground.

Where a 37 mph electric dirt bike belongs
This is an adult off-road machine. It has a throttle, no pedals and a motorcycle layout, which in most places puts it outside what is allowed on a public road, a sidewalk or a shared path. Private land and permitted trails are where it is unambiguously fine.
Rules differ between states, towns and individual trails, and they change. We will not publish a list here that goes stale and misleads somebody. Tell us where you live and where you intend to ride and we will tell you what applies before you spend anything.
Protective gear is not a suggestion at this speed. A helmet every time, plus gloves, boots and body armour for anything technical. We size and fit helmets and pads in store.
Multicolor, Black or White
The widest colour choice in the MX range, and the reason we offer it is that this is the machine people keep longest. Three years into ownership the finish matters more than it did in the shop.
All three are the same machine at the same price, with the corrosion-resistant anodized treatment underneath. The Multicolor livery is the loud one and the one most of our own photography shows. Black hides trail dust; white shows it and shows scratches, and some riders like that a machine looks used.
Whichever you pick, the warranty tier is a separate choice at checkout and does not change the machine.

We sell cover as a choice rather than folding it into the price and calling it free. The machine is identical in every tier; what changes is how long we stand behind it.
The machine alone. Your statutory rights are unaffected and we will still service it.
A year of cover for $150.
Two years for $250, so the second year costs $100 rather than $150.
Three years for $339, which is the cheapest per year of the four. The tier we would take on this machine.
The per-year cost falls as the term lengthens, which is worth noticing before you default to the base tier. Servicing happens here either way, by our own technicians, at any of our six shops.

Three figures we do not publish for this model, where the MX35 and MX40 both state a 265 lb max load. Rather than assume the MX37 matches them, we have left it blank. Ask at any shop and we will get you a firm answer, and sit you on one while you are there.

How fast is the MX37?
37 mph, which is 60 km/h. If you have seen a "60+ MPH" tag on this model elsewhere, it is a mix-up of the two units and it is wrong. The correct figure is 37 mph.
What is a mid-drive motor and why does it matter?
The motor sits in the middle of the frame rather than inside a wheel hub. That puts the weight low and centred so the machine turns more willingly, and it reduces unsprung weight so the rear suspension controls the wheel better over bumps.
What does a sine wave controller actually do?
It shapes power into a smooth curve instead of switching it in blocks. You notice it at low speed on loose ground, where power arriving continuously rather than in steps is the difference between control and a spinning rear wheel.
Are the brakes really better than the other two?
Considerably. Four pistons spread pad pressure evenly, 203mm ventilated discs shed heat on long descents, and hydraulics need far less hand pressure than a cable. It is the best braking specification on anything we sell.
How far does it go on a charge?
Up to 37 miles, or 60 km, from the 60V 20.8Ah pack. Terrain, rider weight and throttle use all reduce it.
What does a 2000-cycle battery rating mean?
The pack is rated to take more than 2000 full charges before its capacity drops meaningfully. At two or three rides a week that is years rather than seasons, and it is the specification that separates a machine you keep from one you replace.
How long does it take to charge?
About five hours on the supplied 2.5A smart charger, which manages the charge curve and stops properly rather than trickling.
Does it have suspension?
Yes, front and rear. It is the only one of our three MX machines with a published dual suspension specification, and on rough ground it is the difference between an hour out and twenty minutes.
How much weight can it carry?
We do not currently publish a figure for this model. The MX35 and MX40 both state 265 lb, but rather than assume this one matches we have left it blank. Ask at any shop and we will get you a firm answer.
What is the seat height?
Not published, and we would rather not estimate. Come and sit on one, which settles it in a minute.
Is this suitable for a child?
No. It is an adult machine doing 37 mph. Our kids electric dirt bikes, the DK1 and DK2, do 13 to 15 mph and are built for a garden or a park. They share a silhouette and nothing else.
Where am I allowed to ride it?
Private land, and trails or parks where the owner permits it. A throttle, no pedals and a motorcycle layout usually put it outside what is allowed on roads, sidewalks and shared paths. Rules vary by state, town and trail, so tell us where you are and we will tell you what applies.
How does the warranty option work?

Why is the MX40 faster and cheaper?
Because it spends its money on motor and battery where this one spends it on suspension and brakes. If your riding is fast and open, the MX40 makes sense. If it is technical and rough, the MX37 is the better machine and this page is why.
