Same range as the dual-motor. One motor, $250 less.
The KUKIRIN G2 Max electric scooter and the dual-motor G2 Master both quote 43 miles. That is not a coincidence worth glossing over, it is the most useful comparison in the range: hold distance constant and everything the second motor actually buys becomes visible.
Read the middle two rows together. A second motor is a hill-climbing purchase far more than a top-speed one: three miles an hour against six degrees of gradient. If your route is flat, most of that $250 is buying something you will not use.

What the KUKIRIN G2 Max electric scooter does with one motor
Nine, eighteen and thirty-four miles an hour. The spread is unusually wide, and the bottom mode is genuinely slow, which is more useful than it sounds when you are threading a crowded path or handing the machine to somebody who has never ridden one.
The 48V 20.8Ah pack is the same capacity the G2 Master carries, which is why both reach 43 miles. Charging is a full 10 hours, so this is an overnight machine rather than one you top up between trips.
Climbing at 22° is two degrees better than the standard G2 and six worse than the Master. In practice that covers city bridges and ordinary gradients without complaint, and struggles on anything genuinely steep with a heavy rider aboard.

The cheapest way into a seated KUKIRIN
On the G2, the G2 Master and the G4, the seat kit is an option you pay for and it ships separately. On the G2 Max it is included, along with a carry bag.
That matters more than a bundled accessory usually does, because a seat changes what an electric scooter is for. Standing is fine for two or three miles. Past that, on a machine with 43 miles of range, most riders want the option to sit down, and being able to take the seat off again for a short trip is the point of a detachable one.
Kugoo counts the seat in the published weight: 68 lbs including the 3.9 lb seat kit. So the machine on its own is a little lighter than the headline number, which is the opposite of how these figures usually get presented.
- Seat kit — included, detachable
- Carry bag — included
- Weight — 68 lbs with the seat kit fitted
- Deck — 46 by 18 cm, 18 cm ground clearance
- Max load — 265 lbs / 120 kg
Who should buy the G2 Max, and who should not
This is the model we point most customers at, and it is worth being specific about why rather than just calling it good value.
Buy it if your riding is flat or gently rolling. You get the full 43-mile range, 34 mph, and the seat, without paying $250 for climbing ability that a flat commute never asks for.
Buy the G2 Master instead if you have a real hill. Six degrees of extra gradient is the single biggest difference between them and it is not visible in any headline number. A single-motor machine on a long climb loses speed in a way you notice the first time.
Buy the G2 if $150 is the difference. It gives up 7 mph, 9 miles and the seat, and keeps the full lighting set.
Look at the G3 Pro if you want brakes. It is the only KUKIRIN we carry with hydraulic discs, and on a heavier or faster machine that is the upgrade that matters most.
What owning a KUKIRIN G2 Max electric scooter is actually like
Range and top speed decide which machine you buy. Four duller things decide whether you are still riding it in a year, and they are worth setting out plainly.
Charging is a ten-hour job. That is a full overnight and it rules out topping up between two trips in a day. With 43 miles of range that is rarely a problem, but it does mean getting into the habit of plugging in when you get home rather than when you notice the battery is low.
Sixty-eight pounds is a wheeling weight, not a carrying weight. It folds to 580 mm and goes in a car boot, but lifting it in there is a two-hand job and stairs are not realistic. If you live above a walk-up, be honest about that before you buy. Our own Mosquito is 29 lbs and exists for exactly that problem.
The seat changes the machine, so use it both ways. Fitted, the G2 Max is a comfortable 43-mile cruiser. Removed, it is a lighter, more agile standing machine that folds smaller. Most owners settle into one mode and forget the other is available.
Tire pressure is the whole of the maintenance. Pneumatic tires lose air steadily whether you ride or not. Under-inflated they cost range, make the steering vague and invite a pinch flat. We check and set it at every service and it takes a minute.
Riding a 34 mph electric scooter responsibly
The G2 Max is quick enough that the rules matter. Speed limits for electric scooters vary between states, cities and even individual paths, and a machine capable of 34 mph will exceed most of them comfortably.
That is what the three speed modes are for. Setting the machine to its 18 mph mode is easier and safer than trying to hold a speed by feel, and it is the single most useful habit a new owner can pick up.
A helmet every time, and we would rather fit one properly in the shop than sell you a box. Lights on whenever visibility drops, and give yourself far more braking distance than a bicycle would need, because 68 lbs of machine plus a rider carries real momentum.
Tell us where you live and where you plan to ride and we will tell you what applies locally before you buy, rather than after.

One thing worth knowing: KUKIRIN's own marketing text for this model quotes 48V 20Ah, 43 to 49 miles and 30° of climbing, while their structured spec sheet says 20.8Ah, 43 miles and 22°. We publish the spec sheet, which is the current structured data, and we have raised the discrepancy with them. Do not plan a route around the 49-mile figure.

KUKIRIN G2 Max, answered
How fast is the KUKIRIN G2 Max electric scooter?
34 mph, or 55 kph, in the top of three modes. The lower two are 9 mph and 18 mph, and the mode is set on the machine.
How far does it go on a charge?
43 miles from the 48V 20.8Ah battery. That is exactly the same range as the dual-motor G2 Master, which is the most useful comparison in the range.
Is the seat really included?
Yes, along with a carry bag. On the G2, G2 Master and G4 the seat kit is a paid option, so the G2 Max is the cheapest way into a seated KUKIRIN.
How long does it take to charge?
Ten hours from empty. It is an overnight machine rather than one you top up between trips.
Should I buy this or the G2 Master?
If your riding is flat or gently rolling, this one. The Master costs $250 more and buys 3 mph and 6° of climbing, and gives up the included seat. If you have a real hill on your route, the Master is worth it.
Can it climb hills?
It is rated to 22°, which covers city bridges and ordinary gradients. It is not the machine for a sustained steep climb with a heavy rider aboard.
How much weight can it carry?
265 lbs, or 120 kg.
How heavy is it?
68 lbs including the 3.9 lb seat kit, so slightly lighter with the seat removed. It folds to 580 mm tall.
Why do your specs differ from what I read elsewhere?
KUKIRIN's own marketing copy and structured spec sheet disagree on this model: 20Ah against 20.8Ah, 43-49 miles against 43, and 30° against 22°. We publish the structured spec sheet and have flagged it with them. We would rather quote the conservative figure than the flattering one.
What tires does it use?
10-inch pneumatic wheels. They hold air, so pressure wants checking, and we set it at every service.
Can it be ridden in the rain?
It carries an IP54 rating, so light rain and wet roads are within it. Avoid standing water. One safety point worth stating plainly: never charge an electric scooter that is wet, or one whose battery looks swollen or damaged. Bring it straight in to us instead.
How does the warranty option work?
You choose 12 months as standard or 24 months extended at checkout. KUKIRIN is a brand we carry rather than one we design, so it comes with a year of cover through us as standard, and we handle any claim.
Who services it, and can you get parts?
Our own technicians, at all six shops, with express service available at every one. We service any brand, whether you bought it from us or not.
