Twenty-eight degrees, drawn at twenty-eight degrees
The KUKIRIN G2 Master electric scooter climbs a 28° gradient. Climbing ratings get quoted constantly and almost never pictured, so here is the whole KUKIRIN range drawn at true angle from one baseline. The difference between a 20° machine and a 28° one is a lot more obvious as a shape than as a number.
Drawn to true angle from KUKIRIN's own published figures. The G3 Pro is quoted as a 25 to 35° range and is drawn at the top of it.
Dual 1000W · 37 mph · 43 mi · 52V 20.8Ah · 28° climbing
Two motors sharing a climb is a different thing from one motor working twice as hard. That is what the extra eight degrees over the standard G2 actually represents.
Why the KUKIRIN G2 Master electric scooter climbs so much better
A single-motor electric scooter drives one wheel. On a climb that wheel is asked for everything, and two things follow: it runs hotter, and on a wet or loose surface it is more likely to break traction just when you need it.
Two motors halve the demand on each. The 28° rating is the visible consequence, and the invisible one is that the machine holds its speed on a long climb rather than sagging toward the top.
Top speed goes to 37 mph, with modes at 15 and 24 below it. The 52V 20.8Ah pack is a higher voltage than the G2 Max's 48V at the same capacity, which is where the extra speed comes from.
What it costs is four pounds and $250. Range is identical to the single-motor G2 Max at 43 miles, so you are not buying distance.

Tubeless wheels, disc brakes, and a wide deck
Two thousand watts asks more of everything else on the machine, so it is worth checking that the rest keeps up.
10-inch tubeless wheels. No inner tube to pinch, so a puncture is far less likely to end a ride and a slow one deflates gradually rather than all at once. On a 37 mph machine that is a safety feature, not just a convenience.
A 49 by 19 cm deck, which is the widest of the G2 family. At speed you want to stand with your feet apart rather than in line, and three extra centimetres is the difference.
Disc brakes and 18 cm of ground clearance. If braking is your priority, the G3 Pro is the only KUKIRIN we carry with hydraulics, and on a machine this quick that upgrade is worth considering.
- Tires — 10″ tubeless
- Brakes — disc brake system
- Deck — 49 × 19 cm, the widest G2
- Ground clearance — 18 cm
- Sealing — IP54
Who actually needs 28 degrees
Climbing ratings are the easiest specification to over-buy, so here is the honest version.
Most city riding never approaches 20°. A bridge approach, a multi-storey car park ramp and a steep residential street are all comfortably inside what the single-motor G2 Max manages at 22°. If that describes your route, the Master is $250 spent on headroom.
Where it earns its money is sustained climbing, a heavy rider near the 265 lb limit, or a route that combines both. A single motor near its rating on a long hill gets hot and slows; two motors at half the demand each simply do not. That is the purchase.
The second reason is traction. Two driven wheels find grip on a wet or gritty climb that one spinning wheel will not, and that is a wet-morning benefit rather than a spec-sheet one.
If you want more still, the G3 Pro is rated to 35° and adds hydraulic brakes, and the G4 Max tops the range at 38°.
What two motors do on a wet morning
Dual-motor electric scooters get sold on speed and climbing. The benefit owners actually mention to us is neither, and it only shows up in bad conditions.
A single driven wheel putting 1000 watts down on wet paint, a metal drain cover or loose grit will break traction. It is brief and usually harmless, and it is unpleasant every time. Two wheels each handling half the load are much less likely to reach that limit, so the machine simply goes where you point it.
The same applies pulling away from a standstill on a wet uphill junction, which is the single most common place a single-motor machine scrabbles. On the G2 Master it does not come up.
None of this makes a wet road safe. It makes the machine predictable on one, which is a different and more useful claim. Braking distances still lengthen, painted lines are still slippery, and the sensible response to rain is still to drop a speed mode.
Charging, folding and storing a 72 lb electric scooter
Ten hours to charge from empty, which is an overnight job. With 43 miles of range that is a charge every few days for most commutes rather than a nightly ritual.
Seventy-two pounds is the heaviest of the G2 family. It folds to 595 mm and will go in a car boot, but it is a two-hand lift and it is not a machine to carry upstairs. Ground-floor storage or a lift makes ownership far easier.
Two motors means two of some parts. That is not a maintenance burden in normal use, but it is worth knowing that a dual-motor machine has more to check, and it is another argument for buying somewhere with a service counter rather than from a box.
Tubeless tires still need pressure checked. It is the one job that changes how the machine rides and the one everybody skips.

KUKIRIN G2 Master, answered
How fast is the KUKIRIN G2 Master electric scooter?
37 mph, or 60 kph, in the top of three modes. The lower two are 15 mph and 24 mph.
What does the 28-degree climbing rating mean in practice?
It is the steepest gradient the machine is rated to climb. For context the G2 Max manages 22° and the G4 manages 20°. Most city gradients are well under 20°, so 28° is headroom for sustained climbs, heavy riders, or both.
How far does it go on a charge?
43 miles from the 52V 20.8Ah battery, which is exactly the same range as the single-motor G2 Max.
Why does it have the same range as the cheaper G2 Max?
Because the packs are the same capacity. The second motor buys speed and climbing, not distance. That is the most useful thing to understand about this range.
Should I buy this or the G2 Max?
If your route is flat or gently rolling, the G2 Max saves you $250 and includes a seat. If you have a sustained hill, ride near the 265 lb limit, or both, the Master is the right machine.
Do two motors use more battery?
They can, but the range figure already accounts for it: KUKIRIN quotes 43 miles for both machines. Riding hard on two motors will drain it faster than cruising on one, which is true of any electric scooter.
How much weight can it carry?
265 lbs, or 120 kg.
How heavy is it?
72 lbs, or 33 kg. It folds to 595 mm tall. At that weight plan on wheeling it rather than carrying it upstairs.
How long does it take to charge?
Ten hours from empty, so an overnight charge.
Is there a seat available?
Yes, as a paid option at checkout, shipped separately. If a seat matters and hills do not, the G2 Max includes one in the price.
What tires does it use?
10-inch tubeless wheels. No inner tube to pinch, so punctures are less likely to end a ride outright.
Can it be ridden in the rain?
It carries an IP54 rating, so light rain and wet roads are within it. Avoid standing water. One safety point worth stating plainly: never charge an electric scooter that is wet, or one whose battery looks swollen or damaged. Bring it straight in to us instead.
How does the warranty option work?
You choose 12 months as standard or 24 months extended at checkout. KUKIRIN is a brand we carry rather than design, so it comes with a year of cover through us and we handle any claim.
Who services it, and can you get parts?
Our own technicians, at all six shops, with express service available at every one. We service any brand, whether you bought it from us or not.
