The KUKIRIN G4 Max electric scooter holds the highest figure in every column of this range: 53 mph, 59 miles, a 38° climbing rating, the biggest battery and the largest wheels. We are going to lead with the weight instead, because that is the number that decides whether you can live with it.
Nearly five times the weight of the lightest machine we sell, and 60 lbs more than the next heaviest KUKIRIN. Everything else on this page follows from that.
Dual 1600W · 53 mph · 59 mi · 38° climbing · 12″ wheels
This is a machine that lives at ground level and gets ridden from there. It does not go up a staircase, it does not go into a car boot without a ramp and a second person, and it is not carried onto a train. If any of those matter to you, buy something else and we will tell you so in the shop.
What the KUKIRIN G4 Max electric scooter does with the weight
Weight on an electric scooter is not waste. It is battery, motors, wheels and structure, and on the G4 Max you can account for nearly all of it.
The 60V 35.2Ah pack is the largest in the range by a wide margin, and it is the single heaviest component. It returns 59 miles, the longest range we sell on two wheels of this kind.
Two 1600W motors, 3200 watts of combined rated output, for 53 mph and a 38° climbing rating that no other KUKIRIN approaches.
Twelve-inch pneumatic wheels and 21 cm of ground clearance, both the largest here, on a 64 by 30 cm deck. That deck is nearly a third wider than the G4's and it is what makes 53 mph feel planted rather than nervous.
And 330 lb of load rating, so a heavier rider is nowhere near the limit.

This is motorcycle speed on a standing platform
It is worth being blunt. 53 mph is faster than most city speed limits and faster than a great many riders have ever travelled without a seat and a frame around them. The modes are 23, 43 and 53 mph, and even the middle one exceeds what most jurisdictions permit for an electric scooter.
What that means practically is that the top mode is for private land or open road with the space to use it, and the machine should be set to its lowest mode for anything resembling normal traffic. Setting the mode before you set off, rather than reaching for it on the move, is the habit that matters most.
Full protective gear is not optional at this speed. A helmet every time, and gloves at minimum. We size and fit both in store, and we would rather do that properly than sell you a box.
Speed limits for electric scooters vary between states, cities and individual paths. Tell us where you live and where you plan to ride and we will tell you what applies before you buy.

Four questions to answer honestly first
Where will it live? Ground floor, garage or shed. If the answer involves stairs or a lift you cannot fit it into, stop here. 141 lbs does not negotiate.
How will it move when it is not being ridden? A van, a trailer or a ramp into an estate car. Two people, or one person and a ramp. It folds, and folding does not make it light.
Where will you ride it? The top two modes exceed what most places allow. If your riding is entirely city streets, you are buying a great deal of capability you cannot legally use, and the G3 Pro would serve you better for $750 less.
Do you have the gear? Helmet and gloves at minimum. We fit both.
If all four answers are comfortable, this is the most capable electric scooter we stock and nothing else here comes close. The 7 to 8 hour charge on a 35.2Ah pack is quick for a battery that size.

KUKIRIN G4 Max, answered
How fast is the KUKIRIN G4 Max electric scooter?
53 mph in the top of three modes, with 23 mph and 43 mph below it. That is the fastest machine we stock and it is motorcycle speed on a standing platform.
How much does it weigh?
141 lbs, or 64 kg. That is nearly five times the weight of the lightest machine we sell and 60 lbs more than the next heaviest KUKIRIN. It is the most important number on this page.
Can I carry it up stairs or put it in a car?
No to the stairs. A car needs a ramp and realistically a second person. It folds to 668 mm but folding does not make it lighter. Ground-floor storage is close to essential.
How far does it go on a charge?
59 miles from the 60V 35.2Ah battery, which is the longest range we stock.
How long does it take to charge?
Seven to eight hours, which is quick for a pack that size. The battery is also removable, so it can be carried indoors to charge rather than moving the whole machine.
Can it climb hills?
It is rated to 38°, the steepest figure in the KUKIRIN range by some way. Nothing else here approaches it.
How much weight can it carry?
330 lbs, or 150 kg, so a heavier rider is nowhere near the limit.
Where am I allowed to ride it at 53 mph?
Realistically, private land or open road with the space for it. The top two modes exceed what most states and cities permit for an electric scooter. Tell us where you are and we will tell you what applies before you buy.
Is it in stock?
Yes. KUKIRIN's own US site was showing it out of stock when we last checked, but that reflects their warehouse rather than ours.
Why is it cheaper here than on other sites?
We publish the manufacturer's US price. Some retailers, including our own sister site, list it higher.
Should I buy this or the G3 Pro?
The G3 Pro is $750 less, weighs 87 lbs against 141, has hydraulic brakes and still manages 40 mph and 49 miles. For most riders it is the better machine. Buy the G4 Max if you genuinely need 53 mph, 59 miles or a 38° climb, and if storage is not a problem.
What protective gear do I need?
A helmet every single time, and gloves at minimum. At 53 mph we would add armour for anything sustained. We size and fit helmets and gloves in store.
Can it be ridden in the rain?
It carries an IP54 rating, so light rain and wet roads are within it. Avoid standing water. One safety point worth stating plainly: never charge an electric scooter that is wet, or one whose battery looks swollen or damaged. Bring it straight in to us instead.
How does the warranty option work?
You choose 12 months as standard or 24 months extended at checkout. KUKIRIN is a brand we carry rather than one we design, so it comes with a year of cover through us as standard, and we handle any claim for you.
Who services it, and can you get parts?
Our own technicians, at all six shops, with express service available at every one. We service any brand, whether you bought it from us or not.
