The specification that decides whether an electric scooter gets ridden is not the top speed. It is whether you can get it into the building. The NAVEE G5 electric scooter weighs 46.1 lbs and folds to 544 mm, and that is the whole point of it.
Roughly the weight of a full carry-on suitcase, folded to about the height of one. Light enough that the electric scooter lives in the hallway rather than in a shed you have to walk to.
Enough for a week of short commutes on one charge, and a weekend of errands after that.
The quickest charge of the three G5s, because it is also the smallest pack. Plug in after dinner, done before bed.
The same top speed as both bigger G5s. The difference between them is range and hills, never pace.

What the NAVEE G5 electric scooter keeps
The G5 is the entry point of the range, and the notable thing is how little it gives up to get there. It keeps the handlebar turn signals, the TCS traction control, Apple Find My, the full NAVEE app, suspension at both ends and 10-inch tubeless tires.
What changes is the pack: 36V 7.65Ah, or 275.4Wh, rated at 28 miles. And the climbing figure, at 18%, which still covers most residential hills.
The motor is the same as the G5 Pro’s: 400W rated, 800W peak, for the same 20 mph.
It carries up to 265 lbs, the same as both siblings.

Signals, suspension and a sealed front brake
Turn signals on the handlebar at the entry point of the range, which is unusual. Signalling a turn without letting go of the bar is worth more in traffic than most of the specifications above it.
Front fork and rear arm suspension. Sprung at both ends, so kerb ramps and expansion joints go into the electric scooter rather than into your knees.
A front drum brake with rear EABS. Fully enclosed at the front, so water and grit never reach the friction surface. EABS handles the rear electronically and returns a little charge to the pack.
IPX5 sealing for rain and road splash, on 10-inch tubeless tires.
The deck is 163 mm wide and it folds to 1138 by 570 by 544 mm.
- Signalling — handlebar turn indicators
- Suspension — front fork, rear arm
- Brakes — front drum plus rear EABS
- Traction — TCS anti-slip control
- Tracking — Apple Find My

NAVEE G5, answered
How much does the NAVEE G5 weigh?
46.1 lbs net, which is roughly a full carry-on suitcase, and it folds to 1138 by 570 by 544 mm. It is the lightest electric scooter in the G5 family and light enough for most adults to carry up a flight of stairs.
How far does the G5 go on a charge?
NAVEE rates it at 28 miles at a steady 9 mph from the 275.4Wh pack. For a short daily commute that is comfortably a week of riding between charges.
How fast is it?
20 mph, the same top speed as the G5 Pro and G5 Max. Between the three models the difference is range and hill-climbing, never pace.
How long does it take to charge?
Six hours, which is the quickest of the three G5s because it is also the smallest pack. Plug it in after dinner and it is ready before bed.
Does the NAVEE G5 have turn signals?
Yes, on the handlebar. That is unusual at the entry point of a range, and being able to indicate without taking a hand off the bar is worth more in traffic than most specifications.
What does the G5 give up compared with the G5 Pro and G5 Max?
Very little beyond battery size. It keeps the turn signals, TCS traction control, Apple Find My, the NAVEE app, suspension at both ends and 10-inch tubeless tires. The G5 Pro runs the same cells at 46.8V for 34.2 miles and a 20% climb; the G5 Max carries a larger 477.36Wh pack for 43.5 miles, a 1000W peak and a 24% climb.
How steep a hill can it climb?
18% gradeability, which covers most residential streets and shallow bridge approaches.
Is the G5 waterproof?
It carries an IPX5 rating, so light rain and wet roads are within it. Avoid standing water. One safety point worth stating plainly: never charge an electric scooter that is wet, or one whose battery looks swollen or damaged. Bring it straight in to us instead.
What brakes does it have?
A front drum brake with rear EABS electronic braking. The drum is fully enclosed so water and grit never reach the friction surface, which keeps the feel consistent through the winter.
Does it have suspension?
Yes, at both ends — a front fork and a rear arm. On 10-inch tubeless tires that is a comfortable setup for city surfaces.
Does it have Apple Find My?
Yes, built in, so the electric scooter shows up in the Find My app alongside your phone and keys with no separate account.
How much weight can it carry?
265 lbs, the same as both larger G5s.
Is the G5 a good first electric scooter?
It is one of the easiest to recommend. Light enough to carry indoors, 20 mph, signals, traction control and tracking, and a six-hour charge. The main question is range: if you regularly ride more than about 20 miles between charges, the G5 Pro or G5 Max will suit you better.
What size are the tires?
10-inch tubeless. With no inner tube there is nothing to pinch, so punctures are much less likely to end a ride.
What warranty comes with it?
A year of cover through us as standard, and we handle any claim with NAVEE for you. NAVEE is a brand we carry rather than one we design, so the three-year cover on Wilson’s-designed rides does not apply here.
Who services it, and can you get parts?
Our own technicians, at all six shops, with express service available at every one. We service any brand, whether you bought it from us or not.
