Top of a three-rung ladder
The three NAVEE G5s share a frame, a deck, 10-inch tubeless tires, the same brakes and the same folded size. What separates them is the battery and what it feeds. The G5 Max sits at the top, and the clearest way to show what that buys is to put all three side by side.
Fifteen and a half more miles than the G5, a third more peak power, a steeper climb — for three and a half pounds. That is the whole argument for the Max, and it is a strong one.

Where the NAVEE G5 Max electric scooter finds 43.5 miles
The pack is 46.8V 10.2Ah, or 477.36Wh — a third more energy than the G5 Pro carries and nearly three quarters more than the standard G5. NAVEE rates that at 43.5 miles at a steady 9 mph.
In practical terms it is the difference between charging twice a week and charging every other night. On a six-mile round-trip commute the G5 Max goes most of a fortnight between plug-ins.
A full charge takes eight hours, which is an overnight rather than a lunch break. Given how rarely you need one at this range, that is a fair trade.
The motor is rated at 500W with a 1000W peak, good for 20 mph and a 24% gradient with a 265 lb rider and load.

Turn signals on the handlebar
Indicators are still uncommon on electric scooters at this price, and they change how you ride in traffic. Signalling a left turn without taking a hand off the bar is a small thing that matters at every junction, in the dark, in the rain, on a busy road.
A front drum brake with rear EABS. The drum is sealed against water and grit, so it feels the same wet or dry, and the EABS system brakes electronically through the motor while returning a little charge to the pack.
TCS traction control is fitted, trimming power the instant the driven wheel starts turning faster than the road underneath it.
Front fork and rear arm suspension at both ends, on 10-inch tubeless tires with no inner tube to pinch.
IPX5 sealing covers rain and road splash, and Apple Find My is built in.

- Brakes — front drum plus rear EABS
- Traction — TCS anti-slip control
- Suspension — front fork, rear arm
- Tracking — Apple Find My

Light enough to carry, folded small enough to stow
Folded, the G5 Max measures 1138 by 570 by 544 mm — low enough to slide into a car boot without dropping the rear seats, and narrow enough to stand behind a door.
At 49.8 lbs net it is a electric scooter most adults can lift for a flight of stairs, which is the practical line between a machine that lives in your flat and one that lives in a garage.
The deck is 163 mm wide, which is the trade for that folded slimness: this is one you ride with your feet in line, one behind the other, rather than side by side.

NAVEE G5 Max, answered
What is the difference between the NAVEE G5, G5 Pro and G5 Max?
All three share a frame, deck, 10-inch tubeless tires, brakes, suspension and folded size. The G5 carries a 275.4Wh pack for 28 miles, an 800W peak and an 18% climb at 46.1 lbs. The G5 Pro steps the battery up to 358.02Wh for 34.2 miles and a 20% climb at 46.7 lbs. The G5 Max carries 477.36Wh for 43.5 miles, with a 1000W peak and a 24% climb at 49.8 lbs.
How far does the G5 Max really go?
NAVEE rates it at 43.5 miles at a steady 9 mph. Faster riding, hills, a heavier load and cold weather all bring that down, as they do on every electric scooter. On a six-mile round-trip commute it will go most of a fortnight between charges.
How fast is it?
20 mph, from a 500W rated motor peaking at 1000W.
How long does it take to charge?
Eight hours from a standard household outlet, which makes it an overnight charge. At 43.5 miles of range you need one far less often than on a smaller-battery electric scooter.
Does the G5 Max have turn signals?
Yes, on the handlebar. Indicators are still uncommon at this price, and being able to signal without taking a hand off the bar changes how comfortable the electric scooter is in traffic.
What brakes does it have?
A front drum brake with rear EABS electronic braking. The drum is sealed against water and grit so it behaves the same in the wet as in the dry, and EABS returns a little charge to the pack as it slows you.
Does it have traction control?
Yes. TCS compares wheel speed with road speed and trims power the moment they disagree, which keeps the electric scooter tracking straight on wet paint and drain covers.
Is the G5 Max waterproof?
It carries an IPX5 rating, so light rain and wet roads are within it. Avoid standing water. One safety point worth stating plainly: never charge an electric scooter that is wet, or one whose battery looks swollen or damaged. Bring it straight in to us instead.
How steep a hill can it climb?
24% gradeability, the steepest of the three G5s, from the 1000W peak.
How heavy is it, and how small does it fold?
49.8 lbs net, folding to 1138 by 570 by 544 mm. That is light enough for most adults to carry up a flight of stairs and low enough to slide into a car boot without dropping the rear seats.
How much weight can it carry?
265 lbs.
Does it work with Apple Find My?
Yes, built in, so the electric scooter appears in the Find My app alongside your phone and keys. The NAVEE app handles speed modes, battery health and locking.
What size are the tires?
10-inch tubeless. With no inner tube there is nothing to pinch, so a puncture is much less likely to end a ride.
Is the G5 Max a good first electric scooter?
It is a very good one, and the range is the reason. A first electric scooter that goes 43.5 miles removes the one thing that puts new riders off, which is thinking about the battery. If you want the same frame for less, the G5 Pro and G5 cover the same ground with smaller packs.
What warranty comes with it?
A year of cover through us as standard, and we handle any claim with NAVEE for you. NAVEE is a brand we carry rather than one we design, so the three-year cover on Wilson’s-designed rides does not apply here.
Who services it, and can you get parts?
Our own technicians, at all six shops, with express service available at every one. We service any brand, whether you bought it from us or not.
