Thirty-nine pounds, and then it disappears
Most of what decides whether an electric scooter gets ridden happens after the riding stops. The NAVEE V40i electric scooter weighs 39 lbs — the lightest adult electric scooter NAVEE builds — and folds in three moves.
Release the stem
One lever at the base of the stem. No tools, no second catch to find, nothing to unscrew.
Fold it forward
The stem comes down along the deck in one motion and latches to the frame.
Pick it up
Thirty-nine pounds, held one-handed by the folded stem. That is the number that matters.

What the NAVEE V40i electric scooter puts in front of you
A 3.5-inch suspended display, which is a generous size on a electric scooter this light. Speed, battery level and mode are legible at a glance rather than a squint, laid out so the number you want is the biggest one.
Auto-sensing headlight and a bright tail light. The headlight comes on by itself as the light drops, so you never arrive home having ridden the last mile unlit.
Turn signals on the handlebar, so you can indicate without letting go of the bar.
The NAVEE app handles speed modes, battery health, locking and firmware.

There is an AirTag slot inside the stem
NAVEE built a hidden AirTag holder into the folding stem. Drop your own AirTag in and the electric scooter appears in Find My alongside your keys, out of sight and out of reach, with nothing bolted to the outside to give it away.
It is a neat answer at this price: you get the tracking without paying for a built-in module, and you can move the tag to something else whenever you like.
A dual brake system with a 700W motor for 20 mph and 25 miles of range.
IP55 sealing, rated against dust as well as water — the only rating in the NAVEE electric scooter range that covers both.

One note on the numbers: NAVEE's sheet lists the brakes as "front disc, dual brake system" while their product description describes the pair as front E-ABS with a rear disc. We describe it only as a dual brake system until they confirm which way round it is. The final group lists figures NAVEE publishes in their product copy for this model rather than in the specification table itself. We reproduce them because they are useful and because they are NAVEE’s own; nothing on this page is inferred.
Lift it, then decide
Six shops across New York and California. Thirty-nine pounds is the whole argument for this electric scooter, and it takes about two seconds to test.
NAVEE V40i, answered
How much does the NAVEE V40i weigh?
39 lbs, which makes it the lightest adult electric scooter NAVEE builds. It folds in three moves and is comfortable to carry one-handed by the folded stem — onto a train, under a desk, into a car boot without dropping the seats.
How fast is it and how far does it go?
20 mph, with NAVEE rating range at 25 miles from a 700W motor.
Does the V40i have tracking?
It has a hidden AirTag holder built into the folding stem. Drop in your own AirTag and the electric scooter appears in Find My alongside your keys, with nothing visible bolted to the outside. You can also move the tag to something else whenever you want.
What size is the display?
3.5 inches, suspended above the bar. That is a generous screen for a electric scooter this light — speed, battery and mode are readable at a glance.
Does it have lights?
An auto-sensing headlight that comes on by itself as the light drops, plus a bright tail light and turn signals on the handlebar.
Is the V40i waterproof?
It carries an IP55 rating, so light rain and wet roads are within it. Avoid standing water. One safety point worth stating plainly: never charge an electric scooter that is wet, or one whose battery looks swollen or damaged. Bring it straight in to us instead.
What does IP55 mean?
The first digit covers dust and the second covers water, so IP55 is rated against both — dust-protected and resistant to water jets from any direction. It is the only rating in the NAVEE electric scooter range that covers dust as well.
What brakes does it have?
NAVEE's sheet lists a front disc within a dual brake system, while their product description describes the pair as front E-ABS with a rear disc. Either way it brakes at both ends. We have asked them to confirm which way round it is and will update this page.
Is the V40i a good commuter electric scooter?
It is built for exactly one kind of commute: the sort with a train, a lift or a flight of stairs in the middle. Twenty-five miles of range covers a normal week, and the weight means the electric scooter comes inside with you rather than being locked up outside.
Does it have an app?
Yes. The NAVEE app handles speed modes, battery health, locking and firmware updates. We set it up in the shop before you leave.
V40i or V25 Pro?
Both are light folders. The V25 Pro is 37 lbs with a handlebar that rotates flat for storage, at 19 mph and 15.5 miles. The V40i is two pounds heavier but goes 25 miles, tops 20 mph and has the larger 3.5-inch display.
V40i or NAVEE G5?
The G5 is 46.1 lbs with suspension at both ends, 28 miles of range and built-in Apple Find My. The V40i trades that suspension for seven fewer pounds. If you carry the electric scooter daily, take the V40i; if you ride rougher streets, take the G5.
What warranty comes with it?
A year of cover through us as standard, and we handle any claim with NAVEE for you. NAVEE is a brand we carry rather than one we design, so the three-year cover on Wilson’s-designed rides does not apply here.
Who services it, and can you get parts?
Our own technicians, at all six shops, with express service available at every one. We service any brand, whether you bought it from us or not.
