Four deck heights · eleven damping stages

INMOTION RS Lite: an e-scooter you set up, not just ride

The deck locks at four heights. The suspension has eleven stages of damping. That is forty-four ways to have this machine before you have touched the throttle — and it is the reason one RS Lite covers a commute and a fire road without compromise on either.

The signature

Four heights, eleven stages

Most machines give you one geometry and one ride quality, and you learn to live with them. The RS Lite gives you two independent adjustments, and they do genuinely different jobs: height changes what the machine can clear, damping changes what it does when it lands.

Deck height — four locked positions

303mm
·
·
183mm

INMOTION publish the two ends of the range — 183mm to 303mm, about 7.2 to 11.9 inches. The two settings between them are on the machine.

Damping — eleven stages

Adjustable hydraulic suspension with up to 96mm of travel. Soft for broken ground and long rides, firm for speed and load.

44

Combinations of ride height and damping, from the two adjustments INMOTION build in. You will settle on two or three of them — a road setting, a rough-ground setting, and whatever you land on for the ride you do most. We will help you find yours in the shop.

Drive

Two 1500W motors, and a 50% grade

Both wheels are driven. Rated output is 1500W each, peaking at 3000W each — 6000W together — and INMOTION rate the machine to a 50% grade. That is the number worth holding onto: a machine that climbs is a machine that does not need planning around, and a 50% grade is steeper than anything a city will put in front of you.

Two driven wheels also change how it leaves a junction. Power is split rather than all asked of one tire, which is exactly what you want when the surface is wet or loose.

  • 55 mph top speed
  • 50% climbing grade

Brakes

Hydraulic at both ends, plus regen

Dual 160mm full-hydraulic discs, front and rear, with regenerative braking working alongside them. Hydraulics matter here for the reason they matter on a motorcycle: consistent lever feel over a long descent, and modulation rather than an on-off bite.

The regen contributes on the gentle slowing you do constantly — approaching lights, easing off downhill — which takes work away from the pads and puts a little back in the battery.

  • Dual 160mm full-hydraulic disc brakes
  • Regenerative braking
  • 11” × 3.5” tubeless tires

Cockpit

A 4.2-inch screen and a light that carries

The display is a 4.2-inch LCD — large enough to read speed, battery and mode at a glance rather than at a squint, which is the whole job of a screen on a machine that will do 55 mph.

The headlight is mounted high on the stem where it throws down the road instead of into the deck. On an unlit street that is the difference between seeing a pothole and finding one.

  • Headlight and taillight
  • IP56 rated against water and dust

Battery and charging

2160Wh, and it takes two chargers

Thirty amp-hours at 72 volts, under a battery management system INMOTION describe as protecting the pack during operation as well as balancing it. Up to 75 miles from a full charge.

The part people overlook is the dual-charging port. Plug in two chargers and the wait comes down sharply — the difference between an overnight machine and one you can turn around in an afternoon.

One charger, empty to full6.5 hours
Two chargers at onceSubstantially less

INMOTION publish the single-charger time and the dual-charging capability, but not a second figure — so we have not printed one.

Where it sits in the range: the INMOTION RS is the bigger machine — 68 mph, a 2880Wh pack and 100 miles — on the same transforming deck. And if handlebars are not what you are after, the P6 and V14 PRO are the wheels.

INMOTION RS Lite questions we get asked

How fast is the INMOTION RS Lite?
INMOTION rate it at 55 mph, from dual motors peaking at 3000W each.
How far will it go?
Up to 75 miles from the 2160Wh pack. Real distance depends on pace, rider weight and terrain — ride it near the top of its speed range and it will be less, as with anything.
What is the adjustable deck for?
Ground clearance. Four locked heights between 183mm and 303mm: low for road speed and stability, high for kerbs, ruts and rough ground. It is INMOTION's transforming system, shared with the RS.
What do the eleven damping stages change?
How firmly the suspension resists compression. Soft settings soak up broken surfaces; firm settings stop the machine wallowing at speed or under load. Up to 96mm of travel either way.
How long does it take to charge?
6.5 hours on the standard charger. The RS Lite also supports dual charging, so running two chargers cuts that down considerably.
What brakes does it have?
Dual 160mm full-hydraulic discs, front and rear, with regenerative braking working alongside them.
How much does it weigh?
116.6 lbs, with a 330 lb payload rating. Plan on a ramp or a second pair of hands rather than lifting it.
Can I ride it in the rain?
It is rated IP56 against dust and water. As always: never charge a machine that is wet or has a swollen pack — bring it straight in to us.
How steep a hill will it climb?
INMOTION rate it to a 50% grade.
What size are the tires?
11 by 3.5 inches, tubeless, front and rear.
Is there a display?
Yes — a 4.2-inch LCD showing speed, battery and mode.
RS Lite or RS?
Both carry the transforming deck. The RS is the larger machine at 68 mph with a 2880Wh pack and a published 100 miles. The RS Lite is the lighter, less expensive one, and for most riding it is the more sensible buy. Ride them back to back at one of our shops.
Is it road legal where I live?
That depends on your state and city, and a 55 mph machine is not treated the same everywhere. Talk to us before you buy and we will go through what applies where you ride.
Do you have it in stock?
Stock moves. Call (516) 300-0944 or come in and we will tell you where the nearest one is and when it can be ready.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes — financing is available on the RS Lite. Ask us in the shop or on the phone.
Who services it afterwards?
Our technicians, in the shop. Express service runs at every one of our locations, and we handle any brand and any issue.
