Seventeen pounds, and three speeds you choose
The C2 Lite is the smallest electric ride we sell. It weighs 17.2 lbs, which a six-year-old can pick up unaided, and it has three speed modes so the ceiling is yours to set rather than theirs to discover.
3'8″–4'8″ rider height · 110 lb max · 7″ solid rubber · UL2272 battery
You set the ceiling, not them
Three speed settings, and the useful thing is the range they cover. Segway publish it two ways: about 8.7 miles at 7.5 mph in Standard, or 5.6 miles at 9.9 mph in Sport.
Starting a new rider in the slowest mode and moving up as they earn it is how this electric scooter is meant to be used, and it is the single most useful thing about it.
The frame is a surfboard-inspired curve with an ergonomic deck — which is design language, but it does mean a low standover height that a smaller child can step onto easily.

Maintenance-free, and certified
Seven-inch solid rubber tires. Nothing to inflate, nothing to puncture, and no pump to keep in the car. On a child’s electric scooter that is worth more than a slightly softer ride.
The battery is UL2272 certified — the standard covering electrical and fire safety for this class of ride. It is worth checking for on any children’s electric scooter, and plenty do not have it.
An LED battery indicator a child can read themselves, and RGB ambient lighting they will care about rather more.
Segway rate it for ages 6 to 10, riders 3 ft 8 in to 4 ft 8 in, up to 110 lbs. And as with every electric ride we sell: never charge one that is wet or whose battery looks swollen or damaged. Bring it in to us instead.
- Tires — 7″ solid rubber, maintenance free

Segway C2 Lite, answered
What age is the C2 Lite for?
Segway rate it for ages 6 to 10, riders 3 ft 8 in to 4 ft 8 in, up to 110 lbs. Fit is what really decides it — bring them in and we will check they can stand comfortably and reach the brake.
How fast does it go, and can I limit it?
Three speed modes with the top one reaching 9.9 mph. Starting a new rider in the slowest and moving up as they earn it is exactly how this electric scooter is meant to be used.
How far does it go?
Segway publish it two ways: about 8.7 miles at 7.5 mph in Standard, or 5.6 miles at 9.9 mph in Sport. Run time is around 70 minutes.
Do the tires need pumping up?
No. They are 7-inch solid rubber — nothing to inflate and nothing to puncture. On a child’s electric scooter that is worth more than a marginally softer ride.
Is the battery safe?
It is UL2272 certified, the standard covering electrical and fire safety for this class of ride. It is worth checking for on any children’s electric scooter, because plenty do not carry it.
How heavy is it?
17.2 lbs, which a six-year-old can pick up unaided and a parent can carry with one hand.
Can it get wet?
It carries an IPX4 water-resistance rating, so light rain and wet roads are within it. Avoid standing water. One safety point worth stating plainly: never charge an electric scooter that is wet, or one whose battery looks swollen or damaged. Bring it straight in to us instead.
C2 Lite or C2 Pro?
The C2 Pro is $100 more, rated from age 9 to riders up to 5 ft 6 in, with an adjustable handlebar that grows with them, 12.4 mph and 9.3 miles. If your child is at the top of the C2 Lite’s height range now, buy the Pro instead — it will still fit in two years.
What warranty comes with it?
A year of cover through us as standard, and we handle any claim with Segway for you. Segway is a brand we carry rather than one we design, so the three-year cover on Wilson’s-designed rides does not apply here.
Who services it, and can you get parts?
Our own technicians, at all six shops, with express service available at every one. We service any brand, whether you bought it from us or not.
