Three heights, and several years
Segway lead on this one with a phrase worth taking seriously: an electric scooter that grows up with you. The handlebar sets to 34.8, 37.8 or 40.7 inches, which is the difference between an electric scooter that fits for two years and one that fits for five.
3'8″–5'6″ rider height · 132 lb max · three speed modes · one-step fold
Set it once a year, not once
A bar at the right height puts a child’s weight over the deck rather than behind it, and that is where balance and confident braking come from. Too low and they stoop; too high and they cannot lean into a turn.
Three positions spanning 34.8 to 40.7 inches cover the rider height range Segway quote, 3 ft 8 in to 5 ft 6 in. It is worth resetting as they grow rather than only at the start, and it takes a minute.
We set it in the shop with the child standing on the electric scooter, which is the only way to get it right.

Modes, screen and sound

Three riding modes
Set the ceiling to match the rider rather than the road. Start slow, move up as they earn it — that is how this electric scooter is meant to be used.

A 2.8-inch screen
Large enough for a child to read speed and battery at a glance instead of staring down at it, which is when an electric scooter stops going where it was pointed.

Lights and a speaker
The part they will talk about. Agree a volume that still lets them hear a car, and the lighting genuinely helps drivers see them at dusk.
Braking, tires and the fold
Braking made easy is Segway’s own heading, and it is the right priority. A brake a nine-year-old can operate confidently, with a lever sized for their hand, is worth more than any performance figure on this page.
Seven-inch hollow tires: no air, no pump, no punctures. A child’s electric scooter with a flat is an electric scooter that stops being ridden.
The easy throttle works consistently across all three modes, so moving a child up a speed setting does not change how the controls feel — only how fast they go.
It folds in one step to 35.8 by 15.7 by 19.7 inches, and at 23.6 lbs a parent can carry it home when enthusiasm runs out before the distance does.
- Brake — Sized for a child’s hand
- Tires — 7″ hollow, maintenance free
- Throttle — Consistent across all modes
- Folded — 35.8 × 15.7 × 19.7 in
- Riding time — About 64 minutes

Set the height with us
Six shops across New York and California. Getting the handlebar right changes how confidently a child rides, and it is a minute’s work with them standing on the electric scooter.
Segway C2 Pro, answered
What age is the C2 Pro for?
Segway rate it from age 9, for riders 3 ft 8 in to 5 ft 6 in, up to 132 lbs. The three handlebar heights are what stretch that range — the same electric scooter fits a nine-year-old and a young teenager.
How many handlebar heights are there?
Three: 34.8, 37.8 and 40.7 inches. A bar at the right height puts a child’s weight over the deck rather than behind it, which is where balance and confident braking come from. Reset it as they grow, not just at the start.
How fast does it go and can I limit it?
12.4 mph at the top setting, with three riding modes so you can set the ceiling to match the rider. Start slow and move up as they earn it.
How far does it go?
About 9.3 miles, or roughly 64 minutes of riding.
Do the tires need maintenance?
No — 7-inch hollow tires with no air in them. Nothing to pump and nothing to puncture, which on a child’s electric scooter matters more than a marginally softer ride.
Is the brake easy for a child to use?
That is one of the things Segway designed around, with a lever sized for a smaller hand. A brake a nine-year-old can use confidently is worth more than any performance figure. We will show them how it works before you leave.
How heavy is it and does it fold?
23.6 lbs, folding in one step to 35.8 by 15.7 by 19.7 inches. Light enough for a parent to carry home when enthusiasm runs out before the distance does.
Can it get wet?
It carries an IPX4 water-resistance rating, so light rain and wet roads are within it. Avoid standing water. One safety point worth stating plainly: never charge an electric scooter that is wet, or one whose battery looks swollen or damaged. Bring it straight in to us instead.
C2 Pro or C2 Lite?
The C2 Lite is $100 less, for ages 6 to 10 and riders up to 4 ft 8 in, with a fixed bar. The C2 Pro adds the three heights, a higher top speed and a 132 lb payload. If your child is near the top of the Lite’s height range now, buy the Pro — it will still fit in two years.
Does it have lights and a speaker?
Both. The lighting makes them easier for drivers to see at dusk, and the Bluetooth speaker is the first thing they will find. Agree a volume that still lets them hear traffic.
What warranty comes with it?
A year of cover through us as standard, and we handle any claim with Segway for you. Segway is a brand we carry rather than one we design, so the three-year cover on Wilson’s-designed rides does not apply here.
Who services it, and can you get parts?
Our own technicians, at all six shops, with express service available at every one. We service any brand, whether you bought it from us or not.
