A seated electric scooter lives or dies on comfort, and comfort is not a feature list. It is where your hands sit, what is under you, and how much room your feet have. The Q2 answers all three, then adds a basket.
Black, green or orange
Three colours at the same price, so the choice is only about which one you want to see parked in the hall. The frame is painted, not wrapped, and the seat, basket and wheels stay black across all three.
Fourteen-inch air tires, sprung at both ends
Fourteen inches is a bicycle-sized wheel, and it is the single biggest thing separating this from a folding commuter. It rolls over a broken curb edge instead of stopping at it, and it keeps its line on a rutted path.
Suspension front and rear does the rest. Seated, you cannot unweight your legs over a bump the way a standing rider can, so the springs are doing a job here that they only partly do on a stand-up model.

The basket is not an accessory
It comes bolted to the rack behind the seat, deep enough for a grocery run or a backpack you would rather not wear. Combined with the wide footrest, that is two places to put things without holding anything.

Three speeds and a certified battery
Each mode caps the top speed, so the setting you pick decides both how quickly it responds and how far the charge goes.
- 11Eco. Shared paths, first rides, and the setting that stretches the 22 miles furthest.
- 16Drive. The everyday pace for a commute or an errand.
- 20Sport. Full output from the peak 500W motor.
The battery is a 36V 9Ah pack, 324 watt hours, and it is UL 2272 certified. Six and a half hours takes it from empty to full, and Hiboy rates the Q2 to a 15% grade. New York City caps electric scooters at 20 mph, so check your local rules before using Sport on the road.

Does the Hiboy Q2 come with a seat?
Yes. The saddle and post are part of the machine, not an add-on, and the rear basket comes fitted too.
How fast does it go?
20 mph in Sport mode, 16 in Drive and 11 in Eco. New York City sets a 20 mph limit for electric scooters, so check your local rules.
What is the range on a charge?
Up to 22 miles from the 36V 9Ah battery. Rider weight, terrain, temperature and which mode you use all change what you actually see.
Is the battery certified?
Hiboy states the pack is UL 2272 certified.
What colours does it come in?
Black, green and orange, all the same price. Hiboy calls them Jet Black, Forest Green and Flame Orange.
How big are the tires?
Fourteen inches, air-filled, front and rear. That is a bicycle-sized wheel and it is what makes the ride comfortable on broken pavement.
Does it have suspension?
Front and rear. Seated, you cannot lift out of the saddle over a bump, so the springs matter more here than on a stand-up model.
What brakes does it use?
Electronic braking through the motor plus drum brakes on both wheels. Drums sit enclosed in the hub, so wet roads reach less of the mechanism.
How much can it carry?
220 lbs, or 100 kg, in total. That is the rider plus whatever is in the basket and on the footrest.
How long does it take to charge?
Six and a half hours from empty with the supplied charger.
Can it climb hills?
Hiboy rates it to a 15% grade, which covers ordinary city inclines. The peak 500W motor does that work.
Can I ride it in the rain?
It is IPX4 rated, so splashes and light rain are within what it handles. One safety point worth stating plainly: never charge an electric scooter that is wet, or one whose battery looks swollen. Bring it straight in to us instead.
Who is the Q2 for?
Riders who want to sit down. Longer trips, errands with something to carry, and anyone who would rather not stand for twenty minutes. It is also the easiest model in the range to get on with if you have never ridden one.
