Sixteen hundred watts, halved
The NAVEE NT5 Ultra X electric scooter runs two 800W motors rather than one big one, and the number that matters is not the 1600W total. It is that each wheel is only ever asked for half of it.
Two wheels each doing half the work hold grip in places one wheel doing all of it would not. That is why the climbing figure reaches 45%, the steepest in the NT5 family, and why the electric scooter tracks straight when you open the throttle on a damp road.
40 mph · 55.9 mi · dual 800W · 45% climbing · IPX6
NAVEE publishes two range figures rather than one: 55.9 miles at 9.3 mph, and 28 miles at a sustained 24.9 mph. Both are on this page because both are useful.
What the NAVEE NT5 Ultra X electric scooter returns at each speed
55.9 miles at 9.3 mph. The headline, measured at a gentle pace. Useful if your riding is a long, unhurried route.
28 miles at 24.9 mph. The one almost nobody publishes, and the one that tells you what a fast commute actually costs. Half the distance for two and a half times the speed is the honest arithmetic of any electric scooter, and NAVEE is unusual in printing it.
The pack is a 46.8V 19.2Ah unit at 898.56Wh, the largest in the NT5 family. It charges in eight hours, and there is a flash charge mode that fills it in two, which changes what is possible in a day.
Top speed is 40 mph with a 1200W peak per motor.

Dual discs, dual suspension, IPX6
Dual disc brakes with EABS. A disc at each end plus electronic regenerative braking through the motors. On a 40 mph electric scooter carrying up to 330 lb, braking at both ends is the specification to have.
Front dual telescopic and rear damping arm suspension. Sprung at both ends, with the front using two telescopic legs rather than one, which keeps the front wheel tracking under hard braking.
IPX6 rather than the IPX5 on the GT5 Max, so it handles heavier water than road splash.
Ten-and-a-half-inch tubeless tires on a 220 mm deck. At this speed you want to stand with your feet braced apart, and there is room to do it.
Traction control and Apple Find My are both included, as across the NT5 and UT5 families.
- Brakes — dual disc plus EABS
- Suspension — front dual telescopic, rear damping arm
- Tires — 10.5″ tubeless
- Sealing — IPX6
- Net weight — 80.5 lbs

Where the NT5 Ultra X sits in the NAVEE range
NAVEE builds four performance electric scooters and they answer different questions. Here is how we talk it through on the shop floor.
The NT5 Max is the single-motor version of this same chassis: 31 mph, 51.6 miles and a 32% climb for $300 less. If your riding is flat and fast rather than steep, it covers most of the same ground.
The UT5 Max brings hydraulic suspension and 12-inch self-healing tires, at 31.1 mph and 62.1 miles. It is the comfort choice rather than the pace choice.
The UT5 Ultra X is the flagship: dual 1200W motors, 43 mph, 74.6 miles and hydraulic suspension. It is the machine for riders who want everything at once.
The NT5 Ultra X is the one to choose when the priority is dual-motor traction and a 45% climb on a lighter, more manageable frame than the UT5 family. At 80.5 lb net it is the lightest dual-motor electric scooter NAVEE makes.

NAVEE NT5 Ultra X, answered
How fast is the NAVEE NT5 Ultra X electric scooter?
40 mph, from two 800W rated motors peaking at 1200W each.
How far does it go on a charge?
NAVEE publishes both figures: 55.9 miles at a steady 9.3 mph, and 28 miles at a sustained 24.9 mph. Your own number will land between them depending on speed, weight and terrain.
Why two motors instead of one bigger one?
Because each wheel is then only asked for half the work. Two driven wheels hold grip where one spinning wheel would not, which is why the climbing figure reaches 45%, and it keeps the ride tracking straight when you open the throttle on a damp road.
What is flash charge?
A faster charging mode that fills the 898.56Wh pack in about two hours rather than eight. It changes what is possible in a single day considerably.
Can it climb hills?
It is rated to 45% gradeability, the steepest in the NT5 family and among the highest in the whole NAVEE range.
How much weight can it carry?
330 lbs, which is the top rating across the NAVEE electric scooter line.
How heavy is it?
80.5 lbs net, or 91.7 lbs gross. It folds to 1250 by 625 by 645 mm. It is the lightest dual-motor electric scooter NAVEE builds, though at that weight it is a wheeling machine rather than a carrying one.
Is it waterproof?
It carries an IPX6 rating, so light rain and wet roads are within it. Avoid standing water. One safety point worth stating plainly: never charge an electric scooter that is wet, or one whose battery looks swollen or damaged. Bring it straight in to us instead.
Does it have traction control?
Yes, TCS is fitted, along with Apple Find My and full NAVEE app control.
What brakes does it use?
Dual disc brakes, one at each end, plus EABS electronic regenerative braking through the motors. Braking at both ends is the right specification for 40 mph and a 330 lb rating.
How does it compare to the NT5 Max?
Same chassis, one motor instead of two. The NT5 Max does 31 mph, 51.6 miles and a 32% climb for $300 less. The Ultra X adds the second motor, 9 mph, and a 45% climbing rating.
How does it compare to the UT5 Ultra X?
The UT5 Ultra X is the flagship: dual 1200W motors, 43 mph, 74.6 miles, hydraulic suspension and 12-inch self-healing tires, for $1,000 more. The NT5 Ultra X is the lighter, more manageable dual-motor option.
What size are the tires?
10.5-inch tubeless. No inner tube to pinch, so punctures are less likely to end a ride outright.
What warranty comes with it?
A year of cover through us as standard, and we handle any claim with NAVEE for you. NAVEE is a brand we carry rather than one we design, so the three-year cover on Wilson’s-designed rides does not apply here.
Who services it, and can you get parts?
Our own technicians, at all six shops, with express service available at every one. We service any brand, whether you bought it from us or not.
